When your Samsung dryer takes too long to dry, a minor adjustment or some simple maintenance often solves the problem. These common reasons have solutions that are easy to implement so your dryer runs optimally again.

Is your Samsung dryer not heating enough during a drying cycle? Start by checking your power source. An electric dryer requires a 240v outlet to receive enough power for drying. While a gas dryer utilizes a standard, 120v outlet, it needs a proper gas line connection to receive adequate power.

Here’s how to assess dryer power issues :

Overloading is a common reason a Samsung dryer takes 2 cycles to dry clothes. If there’s too much clothing in the dryer, hot air can’t circulate properly and drying times will be longer. Check your use and care manual to determine the exact capacity for your model dryer. We recommend filling it only ¾ of the way full, with one wash load at a time, to allow for adequate air circulation.

Sometimes a washer issue is to blame when your Samsung dryer takes too long to dry. If clothes are soaking wet when they’re placed in the dryer, they’ll take longer to completely dry. A washer’s spin cycle should eliminate enough water from clothing so items are not dripping wet when they enter the dryer.
